With a deep appreciation for nature and wildlife, Melese was born and raised in the breathtaking Simien Mountains and Gondar in Ethiopia. His upbringing surrounded by the beauty of nature ignited his love for the outdoors and the wildlife that inhabits it.

With over a decade of experience as a trekking guide, Melese has been instrumental in helping tourists explore Ethiopia’s natural landscapes. He even created his own personal web page, Simien Mountains Outstanding Nature Tours, which is still a go-to resource for travelers today. As a result, this web page became the inspiration for his sister company, Ethio Wildlife Tours.

Melese’s dedication to his craft led him to study tourism, biology, and other related courses, ensuring that he possesses the knowledge and skills to offer his clients the best possible experience. As part of his offerings, Melese also owns a cozy hostel called Gondar Backpackers, providing for tit bugeted travelers with a comfortable and affordable place to stay while they explore the city of Gondar and its rich historical and cultural landmarks.
